We stayed two nights at Tucker’s Cottage last August, and we found it to be a real gem. Gloria and the staff were very friendly and helpful in supplying “local” tips. The cottage was very, very, clean and contained everything we needed for an enjoyable stay — just what we were hoping for on our two-week journey in a rental car from St. Johns to St. Anthony and back to St. Johns.
Patsy, one of the housekeepers, recommended that we drive to Conche to see the iceberg, which we did. The iceberg was simply spectacular as was the town of Conche. A real treat. We highly recommend the drive, but watch out for the numerous potholes.
Just across the road from the cottages to the north, is Tucker’s garage and the Viking 430 – a gas station, general store, and restaurant. We enjoyed our dinner at the restaurant where we were very warmly welcomed by the Gordon and Mabel Byrne family as they celebrated their 62nd anniversary. Across the road from the restaurant is a nice and relatively short hiking path which we enjoyed.
Time and time again, we were impressed by the friendliness of the people of Newfoundland and especially by the kindness shown to us by everyone at Tucker’s Cabins and Reefs Harbour.

This is our fifth trip to Newfoundland and Tucker’s is an ideal place to explore the Northern Peninsula. Gloria is a thoughtful hostess checking to make sure we were happy and answering any questions. The cabins are clean, well equipped, and adequately spaced. Best, is a well maintained yard with plenty of space for my dog to run and release some Britany energy. Highly recommend.

The three of us stayed at these cabins on May 15/2019. The owners are doing a great job with maintaining a clean and reasonable prices for the cabins. We found the cabins to be very clean and stocked with all the goods for a great stay. We had a great conversation with Gloria the owner, as she came to our cabin to check and see if all was well. Hats off to Gloria for extending true ownership hospitality. We will be back.

There were three of us staying in cabin 4 for 3 nights and we really enjoyed our stay. We had the best cod dinners at the local restaurant. We will fondly remember our visit. Very quiet and clean. We would certainly recommend it.

Gloria was a wonderful host and our 8 night stay at the cottages was the perfect way to travel up and down the Viking Trail and enjoy all the special sights from a home base.
The cottage was very well equipped and fresh towels and linens were offered daily. Gloria was quick to send in a maintenance man to deal with a problem outlet in the bathroom and she was always helpful. We appreciated her hospitality and can recommend the cottages to anyone wanting good accommodations at a modest price.

We would like to thank the management and staff at Tucker's Cottages for a wonderful stay. It is like home away from home. This was our fourth stay at Tucker's Cottages. It certainly will not be our last one. We were treated like family. As for the cottages, everything was wonderful. The only thing you need to bring is food. Thank you.

Had a pleasant time at the Tucker's Cottages. We stayed for 3 nights and all friendly staff – next year we will be booking 3/4 cabins for a wedding party for sure so expect some business.
